Bunny Catcher

Katherine looked in disgust at the dead bunny in her hands. She would drink the human's blood, but that would give her game away. And if she stole from the hospital.... well a blood bag wasn't going to fill her up, put it that way. And if she stole too many, they would know that another vampire was in town. Shuddering, she lifted the bunny to her lips and drank quickly, hoping the plain taste wouldn't stay in her mouth for too long afterwards.

Tobias could sense someone else around, and sniffed in their direction. It wasn't human, whatever it was. Quietly, he stalked towards it, the blood lust making his stomach growl.

ooc: It's night, so he's a shadow

Edward was standing their watching the mysterious woman and hoping she would share some of the blood she was drinking. "Are you a vampire?" he asked. "Because if you are... I am too. So if you do say yes to the question i am asking, can you share some of the blood?"

The rabbit slipped from Katherine's hands as she stared at him. In disgust. "What does it matter to you if what i am or who i am? Go and get your own food! Do i look like a slave to you?" She was going to hurl more insults when she sensed something else watching her. She turned and saw a huge beast. And she was terrified. She couldn't smell it, and hadn't heard it. She had a feeling she wouldn't be able to touch it either. So she did what Katherine did best. And ran. Faster than a bullet from a gun, she zipped through the huge trees and disappeared from the scene.

Edward ran, Quicker then you could say monster

Tobias sensed another nearby and chased after the two, excited. He allowed the shadows around him to engulf him, hiding him from view.

You idiot Katherine thought angrily. She was way ahead of them both, but that weirdo vampire was leading the monster right towards her. And who knew what he wanted with them. Katherine was pretty sure she didn't want to find out. She needed to think of something - and fast - if she wanted to get out of this mess.

Tobias sped up, trying to catch up with the female. He was severely hungry, and he wanted to catch both of these, and the female seemed most likely to escape. He turned slightly, speeding up even more in the hope of getting around her and cutting her off without her even realizing he was back.

Katherine sensed something racing alongside her. She stopped running and started backing away from that area. She backed right out of the shade of the trees and into a large clearing where the first rays of dawn bather everything a lighter colour.

Tobias winced as he sensed the sunrise starting. He revealed himself and glared at Katherine for a moment with blazing red eyes. Then he was gone, screaming with pain. He reached the road just as the sunrise hit fully and his shadow tore itself away from him, settling back into its normal shape on the road beside him. "Next time, don't leave it so late." he growled at it, standing up and heading back in the direction of town.

Katherine raced in front of him. "What the hell are you?" She caught his wrist in her strong, iron grip. "And how dare you chase me!"

Tobias cried out in pain as the woman crushed his wrist. "What does it matter to you what I am?" he panted. He still hadn't completely got his strength back from the change. If she was to do something, how could he get away? A memory flashed before him, and he grinned despite his pain. "You don't remember me, do you?" he laughed.

"It matters to me because you tried to kill me!" Katherine shrieked. "And what do you mean, 'don't you recognize me?' I think i would remember someone-"
She cut herself off as memories of Dargen flashed through her head.

Tobias grinned at her. "You remember now?" he winced at the pain in his wrist. "My wife and me were two of the strangers who came to Dargen from the West, back in 1864."

"Ah....."

"So will you let me go now?"

She let go, but watched him with piercing eyes, "Wanna explain why you tried to kill me.... Tony? Tobias? Tyrone Tyler? Whatever the flip your name is!"

"I didn't 'Try to kill' you." he said, annoyed. "It's not like I can control myself when I'm like that."

"Oh well, sorry for not making that distinction." Katherine snapped sarcastically.

"Just let me go."

"I already have." She would have started insulting him, but then she heard something.

"Katherine!" Pearl snapped, emerging from the trees. Then she noticed who Katherine was speaking to. "Hey - your!....."

"I meant away from here." Tobias growled as the other woman came out of the trees. "I know you. You're...."

"It's none of your buisness who i am! Katherine - Get away from him!"

Smiling, Katherine did as she asked.

"It's Pearl, isn't it?" Tobias said, looking at the two women coldly.
